I believe that everyone should have access to good, fresh food regardless of whether or not they have a food allergy.


Passionate that food is an important part of life and should be tasty and enjoyed without guilt. That said I believe in balance and not a particular diet therefore variety is the spice of life. So will always try and test new recipes...you never know when you will find something amazing!


How I landed here and what I learnt about food on the way

Much like many stories, I watched my nans create cakes from simple ingredients without scales, an innate feel for what was right, in awe of this I never stopped looking and learning.


Learning more about food and nutrition became my focus growing up as I wanted to nourish myself for a variety of different sports and activities to keep me fit but I am a firm believer in balancing a healthy diet but also incorporating treats.

Diagnosed in 2016 as coeliac (technically an auto-immune condition) changed my view of many foods, initially thinking there were loads on offer for those with allergies, however, after some months realising these foods were filled with sugar, fat or additives to counteract the lack of gluten etc. and in addition were not enjoyable and very expensive. Spurred on by the lack of fresh alternatives to classic recipes, I set out on a mission to show that you could enjoy fresh bread, sweet & savoury pastries and cakes without compromising flavour or enjoyment!


Finally, it’s hello Leigh on Sea, I switched my professional focus from finance to food with Lovely Bread and Stuff.

We specialise in fresh 100% gluten free alternatives to classic and modern recipes, although I am keen to accommodate as many allergies as possible without compromise. I set out on a mission to show that you could enjoy fresh bread, sweet & savoury pastries and cakes without compromising on flavour or enjoyment. The current weekly menu seems to be expanding in ways I didn’t think possible with specials and pasta dinners.


There is something truly wonderful about seeing a face light up with pure pleasure!.
